I have had another case of the same color in a different color on my laptop for about 4 years and it has definitely held up on many trips to the library and in my backpack has been worn very little. By worn I mean a matte finish that has chipped slightly at the corners and leading edges. I decided it was time for a replacement in a new color and that's exactly what I was looking for. When I received it I was surprised that it came with a keyboard case (I guess I didn't pay enough attention) but it was a huge bonus for an already great case. Very easy to put on and take off and the instructions explain how to do it properly.
