Aqua Tech is expanding its reach with its aquarium products. This new filter does not disappoint. I use this in a 29 gallon community tank with armored catfish, tetras and dwarf cichlids. The residents are not bothered by the suction and they cope well with the undercurrent. The filter cleaned my aquarium in 6 hours after my old filter broke. I use four #3 filter cartridges and would recommend using four, but you can use them if you wish. They also have plenty of room for sponges and floss if you want to try your own homemade methods. The noise isn't terrible and the water flowing out of the filter is soothing but strong. I like the fact that a sponge is included in the design to colonize beneficial bacteria. This feature is required after replacing filter cartridges to maintain a reliable biological environment. The plastic isn't cheap and I like the flip top. The only issue I might have with this product is the lack of support for the motor power cable. I used a twist tie to keep it out of the water. However, this filter keeps your residents healthy and the water quality good. Try this filter, fish farmers. You will be pleasantly surprised.
