This is a great device, unfortunately it has a rattle which I suspect is on is due to a design flaw. In low or sleep mode, it's as quiet as a fan running in a room. Nice white noise. The controls are intuitive, the control panel contains more information than competing models. It's compact, which is important when you live at 500 square feet. First he came and went and even disappeared for the summer. As soon as the temperature in my house dropped, the rattle came back and stayed here forever. I traced the screen to the dryer. The designer may not have left enough space between it and the other components to accommodate the warping or wobble that friction could cause. I contacted Ivation and they were amazing. At first they offered to replace the device, but as this process began they realized that they had run out of devices and they didn't know when or when new ones would be available. Alternatively, they offered me a full refund. I chose this option. Update: After receiving my full refund (within 5 days on my CC which is very quick in my experience) I decided to look into the device to see if I could pinpoint the problem. I have made. This is the motor that drives the desiccant wheel. It has gearing which is likely the cause of the rattling. Since the motor is sealed (an attempt to open it will most likely destroy / damage the case) and I couldn't find a replacement on the network (my google-fu is pretty strong), I'll limp with a knock until new models from Adsorption dehumidifiers come onto the market. All of that notwithstanding, I would still buy another dehumidifier from Ivation as they have excellent customer service. The only thing I'd like to add is the ability to schedule work to include weekend X at Y so I can turn it on before I get up in the morning. This is very bad, I really liked this product.
