We ordered this item because the truck issued a code and ended up going into standby mode. Our research showed that this was the first logical choice for what was wrong. My husband was able to put it on himself, but not without great difficulty. After switching on the problem was not solved. The truck would not come out of idle. After some more investigation he found that he might have compressed one of the strings during the install and tried to reinstall again 2 times with no success. Again, after researching we found some information that these parts often go bad right out of the box, but from what we read online it was hard to tell if that was actually the real problem. If this is a real problem then this part should solve it fairly easily. The exchange takes a few hours at most.
