I really like these self soldering heat shrink connectors. I have used them for various wiring projects on my F250 pickup, from installing light bars to installing a new sound system. They have worked for me every time. First I slipped the connector over one of the wires. Then I wove the wire ends together and slipped the connector over the wire ends so that the metal ring in the center of the connector was centered over the wire splice. I then heated the connector with a heat gun, moving it slowly from the center to the outsides until the solder flowed out and sealed the splice. The ends of the connector sealed around the wires creating a nice moisture seal as well as strengthening the joint. I found this simpler than a torch or soldering iron. My friend complimented me on my radio wiring harness and he is picky! The connectors come in a handy storage case and the price is right. Highly recommend.
