Review on 🍢 My Mason: The All-In-One Multipurpose Wide Mouth Mason Jar Pour Spout Lid! by Randy Olson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Design and versatility need work.

Pros: Overall the product is of high quality. The plastic is very durable and the yellow silicone seals inside the lids are great. Translucent black color is good. Easily interchangeable parts. Cons: Only one handle included and not very ergonomic design. The handle does not attach to the lid assembly and easily detaches therefrom. It begs the question why you need this feature in the first place. I have found that I need a handle on each lid and there is no easy way to buy just one handle. The filters that fit in the lid are decent, but clog easily. They only strain big fruits well, IMO. It is better to use an external quality strainer for almost everything. The lid itself has a second screw on the lid. This is designed so that you can replace it with a spout or other attachment such as a fermenter. The nose is nice, but practically not necessary. Screw on lid caps are another item that can be easily misplaced or misplaced in the kitchen, rendering the lid useless. Bottom Line: Just buy a flip-top lid for jars. There are no parts to lose. Everything is already attached to the lid and the glasses are easy to pour out. You can get lids with ergonomic handles built into the product. There are hinged lids with built-in hard plastic carrying straps. All the functionality I see on this system can also be replicated or better used with other tools that don't tie you to a system.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • The shape is optional
