Review on πŸŒ€ The Tremendous Triton TSPST450 Oscillating Spindle Sander: Powerfully Precise Sanding at Your Fingertips! by Ben Barrington

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very good product but with caveats

Firstly the overall design of the product is very well thought out overall with storage for pretty much everything. It does what the manufacturer says. A few tweaks would make it even better: 1) The locking knob on top of the driveshaft only works for the belt, not the spindle - they give you a standard threaded nut and flat washer to 'squash' enough on the rubber to get. Spindles to expand and grab the inside of the spindle bushings - pretty stupid and probably an afterthought. 2) the belt tensioner is really just a track adjustment so the belt doesn't move up or down when it hits speed - you can't adjust the belt tension, 3) the tilt table hinge is actually in the wrong place - it should hinge on the front of the strap - a design issue but it can be done. 4) It would be nice to be able to "lock" the oscillating function when mending - sometimes it's difficult to get a constant sanding speed when the spindle/belt is oscillating unless the belt is clean/fresh. It has enough power for what I do with it. I give 4 stars for what it is and works well.
