I was skeptical about this product but since gas is expensive here in Orlando I decided to give it a try. Everything depends on your settings. I have a small Lincoln ProMig 140. Nothing special at 110v. After trial and error I found this wire feeder is best at 4.5, maybe 5 out of 10, which is pretty fast. The puddle works best when welded directly to the bead and not at an angle, doesn't pull/pinch the weld, allowing the puddle to just flow and melt if you move fast. I set my welder to maximum power in position D. It's best to keep the gun directly on the weld, making quick, straight movements without stopping. I believe if you slow down it will burn holes in your CC. If you hit below the highest level, it will NOT pierce. so fast and hot is the only way. You won't spend a dime on it if you don't have a lot of patience. but as they say, with a PRECISE hand and a smooth motion, you can weld stainless steel with it just fine. Dirty welds aren't such a big deal. There's nothing an angle grinder can't do. That wire actually makes an interesting puddle, and once you get the hang of it you can make a darn good weld. Like I said, it won't win any awards in the aesthetics department, but once I get the hang of it my welds are surprisingly strong. Don't listen to bad reviews on this wire. PRECISION and PATIENCE and you have a good product! REV 1 @ 12/02/2019 - I ordered another spool yesterday and when it arrived it looked like half the spool was gone. See photos side by side; It doesn't even look like the picture! Is this normal because it depends on the weight? I do not know!
