It really works very well! (REDACTED)

I was skeptical about this product but since gas is expensive here in Orlando I decided to give it a try. Everything depends on your settings. I have a small Lincoln ProMig 140. Nothing special at 110v. After trial and error I found this wire feeder is best at 4.5, maybe 5 out of 10, which is pretty fast. The puddle works best when welded directly to the bead and not at an angle, doesn't pull/pinch the weld, allowing the puddle to just flow and melt if you move fast. I set my welder to maximum…

I may have to try it in different sizes to get the results I want.

The wire worked as advertised. Although I used completely the wrong size wire (.035) to weld 16 gauge 308, I realize that this wire can work. Although I've never been able to get a smooth bead on my Millermatic 211 (220V), I kept trying to weld such thin material at first with constant power and feed control. Some of my best results have come from moving fast enough and pushing myself into a puddle so hot that the electrode "flashes" into the booger in front of it. I ended up getting some…

But does the job.

Disclaimer: I am not a professional welder; Most of my experience (3 years) is with GMAW on mild steel and I don't like working with FCAW at all. Those of you more experienced with FCAW can laugh out loud at the probable newbie observations, which I detail below. I ran this wire through Millermatic 180 at 230 volt panels, horizontal and outer fillet welds; It worked fine for this purpose after I entered the settings. A few things that helped: - Preheat the workpiece to hell or stand by for a…
