Sew-on buttons in black, size. 3

These are high-quality buttons. They are 3 sizes so they are quite big. (At least they seem pretty big to me, since I'm used to working with doll-sized fasteners!) Perfect for fastening a book cover, tote bag, purse, coat, jacket - anything that requires a big, solid click. I bought these to use with knitted neck warmers so they wrap around the neck and stay in place without dislodging or unbuttoning. Buttons work well for this purpose. These are black buttons so they go well with dark fabrics or materials, especially if you don't want the buttons to be visible. The knit hat I knitted is dark turquoise and I was afraid the silver buttons would be too noticeable so I went with black. You will receive a pack of four buttons, two halves each (male and female). These are sew on buttons which means you will need a large needle and thread. I recommend using waxed thread as it is less likely to break or tangle while sewing. (To apply wax, run the floss through a piece of beeswax a few times until it looks like floss. Roll the floss into a tuft of muslin and press down with a warm iron. This will melt the wax and fuse it with it the floss.) Make sure to use floss that matches your fabric exactly so it's not too flashy. Very good product! They don't open easily, even under tension. In fact, you have to make an effort to solve them. Highly recommended for anyone who needs a strong fastener for clothing, home accessories, purses or bags, etc.
