Revainrating 3 out of 5

REVIEW UPDATED 5/20/13 - No luck

Update 5/20/13 I have lots of these and use them when I run out of other K cups. I cut them up and put them in a K cup basket. They taste good, but the tops continue to deflate and make a mess. I believe this is due to the back pressure that builds up in the machine due to the filter/flavor additive not flowing fast enough. I say this because when I use the basket, I get about 3/4 of the water in my cup, which I pour into the coffee maker. The K-cup basket is full of water/dirt when I take it out and inspect it. To get around this, I just hit brew again, then what little water that was left in the machine drains out and all my water is in the cup and the K-cup basket is empty. When I empty the basket, it's very fine "dirt", tightly packed. This is very different from when I put regular ground coffee in the basket or when I put one of my "work" contents of k-cups (without flavors) in the basket. Find a way to get one of them out when those devices are coveted in the car. Will not happen. I'm using my current inventory and will take something else. The guys at Crave have been GREAT with me though, so they might as well try to figure out what's going on. A good company that cares enough to get involved and make things right. It would simply be considered an incompatibility issue between their cups and my coffee maker. 👍👍 SEE UPDATE AT THE END OF THIS PARAGRAPH The taste is good. The cups themselves and the sealed lid are defective. I soon discovered that the cups in the coffee maker exploded. I use this coffee maker without incident with other brands of K-cup coffee, but with these cups I would say that 3 times out of 4 I have an accident if I don't open the cups and put them in the K-cup basket lay and brew them like this. Sometimes I forget what cup to put in and I hear a "pop" and then I clean up the mess. I will not order them again. UPDATE 11/06/19. I've contacted the folks at Crave Coffee about this. This was my second order from them and I had problems with it. I probably should have contacted them sooner but I didn't. As soon as I contacted them about my problem with the lids coming off, they told me that they had an issue with a batch of their mugs with lids that seemed to come off. They apologized, explained the problem and asked me for the lot number of the cups I was using to pinpoint the problem and where other cups might be located in AMAZON'S GREAT and WELL DISTRIBUTED distribution centers. It makes sense to me that once a bad batch hits Revain, they could end up somewhere and putting them all back together would be a challenge. Anyway, I've upgraded my rating to 4 stars based on the prompt and excellent customer service, their genuine concern for the quality of their product, and their willingness to send me some more coffee for my concerns. As soon as I get a new coffee I'll try it and if it's as good as before and there aren't any issues with the lids blowing off I'll most likely upgrade it to 5 stars. Bottom line, it's a good coffee, wide variety of flavors, convenient (most of the time) and relatively cheap compared to other brands/quantities available.
