Fostex T50RP MK3 rocking Focusrite Scarlett Solo and ASUS Xonar Essence STX sound cards. they play well on both sound systems, but ASUS has a more pleasant sound and there are a lot of settings. You can listen on your phone but the sound is weak. It is simply unrealistic to make them wheeze even at 300 - 600 ohms, they scream like carved ones, but the sound is always clear and even. flac format is a pleasure to listen to. The bass is great and doesn't fade or fade as the volume increases. smooth frequency response gives its own therefore all genres of music sound gorgeous. I justify my price by 300%.
