weight was great but unthreaded. I haven't seen anything about different bottom bars/extensions. So pay attention to the style of the bottom bar to connect the two together. Need an extension with no threads on both sides or it fits loosely on one side, I cut off the threaded end, drilled a hole, lost 1 inch in length, no big deal, the fan went down 10 feet.
