Although the padding of these gloves is excellent, there are downsides to their design: The ridges between the fingers cut into the ridges. At first I thought they might have bought a size too small for me, so I decided to give them to a friend who has much smaller hands but had the same discomfort of the space between the fingers cutting into the finger tissue. I have had many pairs of cycling gloves and have never had this problem with others. I think when it comes to anything like gloves the only surefire way is to try them on in a store before ordering online.
