So when I went shopping I was sure I would buy something I didn't like. NOT CORRECT! So many reviews and even test videos show that cases are not waterproof. THERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF COVERS! Be sure to choose one that meets your expectations and be prepared to shell out a few bucks. Quality is not always cheap. So I decided to go with aluminum or something similar. I don't think it was the most expensive option. But I live on the Alabama/Florida border, so the southern heat/sun really can not only heat up your car, it can eventually damage everything. My dashboard on my Lexus was completely melted and gooey after 10 years of baking (before I got smart). After Lexus replaced it, I didn't want to deal with it again. But now my window seals are sticky and leave an awkward residue every time you roll down the window when it's hot. These things are not cheap to replace on all 4 doors! So I chose one that reflected the sun and let me just say that it was EXTREMELY EASY to put on and as soon as I took a step back I was pretty dazzled! It's bright! I had to wait a few days before it rained to see if they were waterproof before writing a review. But my car was parked in the sun with this cover on for 4 days and when I finally got in on the 5th day I was SHOCKED at how cool and comfortable it was inside. I have no way of seeing exactly how it was hit, but I opened the door (love the zipper, btw!), sat in to start the car (a Southern habit), and was sure that it was only 70Β° inside. Automobile! I saw raindrops falling on the roof so I knew it was raining and decided to record it while it was raining on the roof. ITS WATERPROOF! Just make sure you get that in my video. It was easy to remove. Oh and we had some crazy high winds from a storm just 3 miles up the road but it didn't rain lol. It didn't even move in the wind. I had bars (which I didn't think was possible because I'm pretty lazy in this heat lol. But they were easy to get. It fits in my car with no problems. It's very well made and comes with a pouch ( Which I may never use. I just rolled it up and threw it in the trunk.) Hope this helps you make the best choice for what you are looking for.
