Holds my 6 inch phone or 10 inch tablet when I need an extra hand. Strong adhesive and good magnets. They also come with a set of steel plates to which you can attach whatever you need to hold or hang. I use them all over the house, not just in my car. I keep one in my closet to keep my phone on while I get dressed and one on the cabinets above the kitchen sink so I can turn on music or watch videos while I do the dishes or cook. It is great for watching videos while cooking. I also use them to keep flashlights and other tools in strategic places around the house so they're available when I need them. Make sure the surface you apply it to is clean and free of grease for best results. . A quick wipe with an alcohol wipe will help. May not stick too well to some wood, but metal, most tiles and other smooth surfaces should not be a problem.
