Despite the fact that the device has quite a few shortcomings, without a twinge of conscience I give it the highest rating. And all because Nintendo re-breathed life into the seemingly completely dead handheld gaming. As I already wrote, Sony killed the PSP / PS Vita line, and games on smartphones are either casinos or crystal stores. It is logical to look towards PS4 / XBox One, but not everyone is suitable for the "sofa" gaming format. I still have an old XBox 360 with a bunch of unfinished games and all because there is simply no time to play at home on the couch (at least for a long time), and if there are 20 minutes, it will load while you remember. So the coveted PS4 for me has remained forever in the wishlist. But Switch really helps out: in the subway, on trips, in cafes, in all sorts of queues, etc., you can always not yawn and not be dumb at your smartphone, but it’s quite nice to spend this time. And if there is a little "extra" time at home, you can safely throw the console into the dock and continue the game that you played half an hour ago on the way home from work. The main thing to understand is that you shouldn't compare Switch to PS4/XBox One. It has a completely different purpose. This is a prefix that you always want to take with you and only occasionally throw it into the dock at home. And if you play mainly on TV, take a Playstation. PS Well, I forgot to say that it is very suitable for playing with children, on the same PS it is tight with children's games, but here - abundance.
- - Literally uncontested device today. Well, there are no other modern handheld game consoles. The PSP -> PS Vita line is dead. Mobile gaming is the realm of dullness and microtransactions. - A set of pretty good ported games that are super cool to play on mobile: Doom, Diablo, Skyrim, Wolfenstein, . - Games from Nintendo itself are something. I honestly never understood why they are fans of Nintendo, from the side of the game they look somehow stupid and childish, and I bought Switch for the sake of the games from the previous paragraph, but in the end . I play almost exclusively Zelda and Mario Odyssey, only occasionally launching the rest . Under a simple and plain wrapper turned out to be really addictive gameplay! - The docking idea is a bomb, you play in the subway, you come home, you throw it into the dock and continue from the same place. - Well, for the standard Type-C connector and standard micro-SD memory cards, my respect! - Really high-quality assembly and convenient form factor, everything is very thought out and ergonomic. The same PSP in my subway was always trying to slip out of my hands, and the Switch lies perfectly, although almost twice as much.
- - The hardware is rather weak and is at the level of PS3 / Xbox360, well, maybe a little better. Many cross-platform games have graphics settings heavily slashed - Game prices are really high. The same Doom for Switch is one and a half times more expensive than on PS4, although graphically it is much worse. - There are not so many good games - Nintendo exclusives, ports from other platforms, a few cross-platform things, but I would not say that there are many, many of them, mostly the store is full of turkey. Some people love it, but I don't really like it. - Screen. Well, it's not that he's bad. But the frames are large by smartphone standards, and after the OLED matrix of my Samsung, the black color does not look very black, but nothing criminal, just not the best. - No Bluetooth headphone support. Hello to the long process of unraveling the wire before the game. They say there are some devices from Aliexpress that connect to the type-C port and solve this problem, but I haven’t tried it yet, I can’t say. - Only 32 GB of internal memory, which, in principle, is solved by installing a micro-SD of 64-128 GB, you don’t need more anyway, because it’s significantly more expensive in the game store, it’s easier to buy on cartridges. Although they are inconvenient to change.
