Review on 🔥 MBS Longboard Wheels - The Ultimate All-Terrain Performance Solution by Nick Narvasa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Longboard Monster Truck.

[22. May 2018] Absolutely unbelievable, first of all the contact area is very small. Only the center strip of the wheel touches the ground. But after a week or two it breaks down. These wheels are 78a, so soft (the only softer wheel I've ridden is Sector Nine Butterballs 75a). The 100mm wheels are among the largest wheels on the market. So the sidewalk is a breeze. [Edit: These wheels go through everything; I can ride railroad tracks at intersections.] Where these wheels shine is in the mud, grass, and gravel that stops the smaller wheels on their rails. It won't replace a mountain board, but if you're looking to add some off-road capability to your everyday longboard, it's phenomenal. They'll fit most decks, but if you have a pintail or something with no cutouts, you'll need riser spacers to prevent wheel bite. Personally I went with a set of rubber and angled risers and it works great. [19. May 2020] I was talking to a friend about these wheels and thought I'd update my review. Oddly enough, tomorrow is her second birthday. Shortly after this review, I broke my left arm from the pintail placement; Apparently, bombing the steepest hill of your life on a longboard that's the equivalent of a clown on stilts is a bad idea. Learn from my mistakes, try to keep the rig as low off the ground as possible if you're a beginner speed demon. Anyway, what can I say about these wheels? They survived every romantic relationship I've had and I put them through hell. I mean wheels. I learned to drift with them, I used them almost every day for two springs, summer and fall. I've attached a fourth photo of them after two years of heavy wear. I don't know how another better review raped them as a couple in three months because that mine is going strong two years later. The biggest battle scar they have is a piece of glass I rolled over a few months ago, but it didn't affect performance in any way. Paired with a Pantheon-style 33-foot deck, they're an integral part of my favorite setup. A minus? Weight. If MBS wheels have an Achilles' heel, it's because of how heavy they are. They make up most of the weight in my setup. If I had to guess, I'd say the whole thing weighs about ten pounds, and the wheels weigh maybe 6-7 pounds. These wheels will make you stronger; I believe in you.
