Review on Pneumatic Grinder Collet Attachments by Brandon Wynen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent, for now.? the best of straight grinders

Currently good pneumatic straight grinder. Easy replacement of the collets, no problems in use yet. Works well even with the small 2.5 gallon compressor I have. My hesitancy to give this five stars stems from the lack of maintenance of the included wrenches and whether the rest of the tech is so sloppy. The wrench that fits the collar nut has become significantly loose and the collet wrench will not fit the collet. The first photo shows how easy it is to fix. I used a 4" grinder to shave off a bit of each jaw. Now it fits like a glove. Photo 2 shows (poorly) how the wrench doesn't fit the collet nut. Bottom line: $24 is basically a decent one Price. At your local big box store, a 1/4" air straight grinder will sell for anywhere from $45 to $199. A shop in the harbor will cost from $12 to $20. It has 1/4" and 1/8". " Collets.

Pros
  • The straight grinder is ideal for working in tight spaces where other tools can't reach.
Cons
  • Rumpled
