Was really hoping to extend the life of my 10 year old laptop with this battery. The laptop works perfectly, and it's my main internet laptop, used 99% of the time on mail/surfing/youtube/etc. Like many, I use my laptop plugged in almost exclusively. I bought this so I could transport my laptop without having to shut it down, grab the power cord, and use it somewhere else. I bought it less than a year ago, and have used it maybe 10 times unplugged. At this point the batter shows fully charged but as soon as I unplug from 120v the battery has less than 10% and my laptop shuts down. YMMV but this was a total waste of money for me. Would not purchase again. Note: The original Toshiba battery lasted around 5 years, then became useless. This one lasted less than a year and is now also useless.
