I was having a hard time choosing the perfect mattress until I came across this 12 inch foam mattress that is soft on one side and firm on the other . Mattress but they tend to get hot on humid summer days no matter how I turn on the AC. I thought this mattress would be great because I can turn it over in the summer so I can sleep on the firm side. The mattress came in a 31 x 19 x 19 inch box that can be easily moved by one person. I was expecting the crate to be longer and requiring 2 people to carry it up the stairs, but I was able to fold it up by rolling it up 2 flights of stairs by myself. After pulling the mattress out and laying it on the floor, I left it in the guest room to inflate. When I came back 2 days later to check it was ready to use and didn't have a bad smell. The fabric seemed durable and the stitching showed good quality. So far I can only test the hard side (just nice and hard, not like a rock). Now I just enjoy its soft side - it's soft but offers great support for side sleepers like me. The weather has been hot lately, but so far I haven't had any trouble sleeping on the soft side - perhaps the cooling gel foam has a cooling effect. I don't know if this cooling effect is good enough on hot, humid days, but I can always switch it to the firmer side. So far I'm sleeping better and I like it.
