I bought a 1200W PSU, I don't think I need that kind of power, but as the saying goes, there's never too much power, right? This power supply is deeper than a standard ATX power supply. Very good power supply, looks solid. I get 87% efficiency, other reviewers report higher efficiency, needs a little more research. System, anyway I just took a mini-USB cable (I didn't use the one that came with it) out of the computer and plugged it into an external USB 2.0 port, bingo! If you want to make the fan spin, choose the GPU temperature in the group, experiment and you will make it spin. UPDATE: I figured out why I'm getting 87% efficiency. This is explained on page 4 of the manual. I get 95% efficiency when the system load is 50%, since my system load is about 10%, the efficiency is 87%. Does it make sense? UPDATE 12/07/18 Very happy with this power supply. My HP computer came with a cheap power supply that I never trusted. I don't see that with this power supply. I don't want a computer running more than 40 hours while 4TB is encrypted with Bitlocker etc. I say you pay for what you get all the time and I know it's a cliché but it's true. UPDATE 12/16/18 Suddenly the link software stopped reporting the status of the power supply like load, temperature etc. even if everything is ok the power supply LED is blinking orange and green, in this case it was solid orange and fast and delivered quickly, as Revain knows how to do.
