Review on Docooler® Handlebar Extension Extender Speedometer by Mario Newton

Allows me to use my old accessory on a new bike

Wasn't sure I would keep this after finding a larger diameter mount for my headlight. I was very happy with the fit and finish of the product so I decided to keep it for myself. I cut an old bike inner tube and made strips of rubber between the handlebars and clamps. This keeps the clamps from moving and also means you don't have to torque the bolts with enough to damage the aluminum bracket. The carbon fiber tube is just the right length for me and the end caps fit nicely. It doesn't interfere with my landing on top of the handlebars. The diameter (22.2mm) is a bit small for my bike computer and headlight mount, but that's what those little rubber bands are for. I've been on several trips and still haven't had the hiccups. Advice only. Use a short Allen wrench on the screws and use your thumb and forefinger to tighten them 1 inch from the pivot point. This should prevent you from exceeding 6Nm of torque.
