Great for dining and entertaining.

I love this food warmer. I love to read while eating, I always have. But food and hot drinks get cold. Thanks to this, I can put both food and tea on a heating pad, and everything stays hot! The picture shows it in the middle of the dining table, but if you don't have an outlet built into the table, you can't do it without an extension cord. Which can be a problem when the table is in the middle of the room. The cable is only about 4 feet long (typical for the device). You can also use it for large family dinners or cocktail parties. Really versatile and useful.

Pros

Retains heat only in the heating zone - markings on the glass surface indicate where it is safe to touch. The aluminum body and handle also keep the entire body cool so you won't hurt yourself if you accidentally touch it.
