They are good for filling a refillable water bottle to take with you. It holds a good amount but the shape creates a bit of volume to be honest. It doesn't fit all the places needed to carry bottles and just feels a bit bulky. You also have to remove the top to drink it, but it's not attached in any way so you'll have to hold it or put it in place. If the same style is used, it would be nice to have the top open but still attached so you don't have to hold it up or put it on. because it's more of a circus tent, I didn't think about it until I started using it, and then it really mattered.
