The package arrived quickly. The big disappointment is that Time Warner can't use this device to activate my phone - period, no way, no way. I've called back many times as per the instructions when you run into this problem. I even found an article on the Time Warner website about not being able to activate the phone option. This device is identical to the one they supplied and the seller says it has a phone option. It's just that Time Warner only uses its modem for the phone, which reduces the $10.80 monthly fee to rent its modem for Internet access. They do not charge for using their phone-only modem. I now have two modems that run on electricity and they also take up extra shelf space but I am saving on modem rental which is great because in 5 months I will actually be paying for this unit with the savings I understand . . Bought two of these one for us and one for our son who also has a time warner but doesn't have a phone so works great and just returned the TW modem to start his monthly savings too. In general everything is fine and apart from the problem with the phone we are satisfied.
