I just used these bags to remove about 2 feet of insulation from a 1500 square foot attic. At first I hated these bags, they are sewn on both long sides and one of the ends, then they are perforated on the other end. I tried spreading the perforated end just enough to insert and then hook the blower hose, but as soon as I turned on the machine the rest of the perforation broke and the bag flew. I then had to do some experiments to get them to stay on the hose. Finally, after filling about 4-5 bags, we stuck with the tubing until the bag was full by inserting the tubing about a foot into the center of the perforated end, folding one side of the bag over the tubing and then the other, and finished by wrapping a short bungee cord fairly tightly around the bag about 4 inches from the end of the tubing (so about 8 inches of the bag missed the bungee cord). After doing that we made 20 more pouches and had no more problems with the deflated pouch. When the bag was full they were great, just tied the end with twine and then grabbed both ends. It was very difficult to lift with two people, but we just hitched it to a trailer and practically rolled it on it. When we first got to the junkyard they had a backhoe with a clamshell they could grab 3 at a time and none of them broke. The next few times we had to unload them by rolling them up, but none of them could even land on top of each other. We had to be really careful not to drag it across the wood of our platform or the pieces could catch on it and tear it apart (we didn't break it, but we did make a few small holes). Some of the two bags got rained on (not hard but enough to make them very heavy) and it took 4 men to lift them up but they held together well even though they were wet. In general I wish they had instructions explaining the best way to put them together so I didn't have to figure it out, but they were great bags that did their job well.
