Review on 🌈 MICTUNING Q1 RGBW LED Rock Lights: The Ultimate Underglow Neon Multicolor Lighting with Bluetooth Control, Music Mode, and 8 Pods by Paul Giordano

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Terribly good app for accent and terrain lighting

After finding out that the app works well. The app is not intuitive and the introductory screens are no help. Also, there are no instructions. 1) Download the MicTuning app. 2) Turn on Location and Bluetooth. 3) Allow all permissions requested by the application. If you don't do this, the app won't work. 4) Click Settings (slider icon in the top right corner). 5) Make sure at least 1 device is displayed under ALL DEVICES. 6) Click save connections and add your Rock Lights Q1 (or whatever version you have). 7) Click the back button in the top left corner. 8) Experiment with colors. If it works, that's it. You can adjust the light to your liking. Throw the small remote control in the trash. I didn't check the battery but it didn't work at all. I bought this stupid lamp because of the remote control and it didn't work. Cannot return it as it is outside my return period. The light and control module was easy to install once I figured out where to place it. Connections were good, making for a firm and seemingly watertight connection. The cables are long enough for a jeep or crossover. For everything else you need extensions. It's not listed anywhere on this product page, but the instructions state that the 4-bulb kit includes two bulbs with 12-foot cords and another two bulbs with 6-foot cords. I had a controller on the firewall on the passenger side of my Suburban: the driver's side rear wheel requires 4 feet more wire; there is just enough cable on the passenger side behind the wheel housing and on the driver's side in front; The front passenger wheel had an extra 5-foot cable. The headlights provide a nice swamp glow and are enough to illuminate the rocks to accommodate the tires. However, they are not annoyingly super bright. Would I buy them again? Yes, even after battling the app.
