Review on Adjustable Back Brace Posture Corrector for Men and Women with Lumbar Support - Improve Clavicle and Upper Back Posture by Lamont Manjrekar

I bought this product primarily for back pain/support but decided on a brace that also improves posture. I'm 5ft 5in, 128lbs, waist 31in (at the belly button) and was surprised to see that according to their size chart I needed a large one (tall = 28-33in at the waist). I ordered it anyway because it said it wasn't true to size. There is 9 inch velcro on the front closure for ample size adjustment. I had to close it with velcro beyond this available space. I was also at the very end of adjusting the shoulder strap before it was almost snug enough that there was no way I could adjust it. Plus, as other reviewers have pointed out, there's an overpowering chemical smell. Even after I removed the braces, I could still smell the chemicals where they touched my clothes. It can fly away after washing and airing, but I had a sore throat and didn't want to deal with it. On the plus side, it seems to have stabilized and reduced the pain in my lower back. The waist and back were comfortable. but there were no straps around the front shoulder/armpit. But then again I couldn't adjust it properly which could have affected this. So it seems to work as intended, but the size is smaller. And the smell became a stumbling block for me.
