Crazy Wheel Tire Design

You'll sing the designer's praises when it's a wheel if you ever need to fix a flat tire or if you ever just need to add air. I have 4 different pumps and none match the wheel stem and tube design. Repair or replace the tube - good luck! You will need to remove one screw through the hub while holding the same hex on either side (I hope you have 2!). There are two small hub components that fall out when the wheel is removed. Don't lose them! Then there are four bolts on one side of the wheel and four nuts on the other side. Do not give up! When you take the wheel apart, ANOTHER loose part of the hub falls out. How many parts are we dealing with now? Except for the two sets of bits I have. Oops! I hope you have a replacement or patch kit. After you have repaired or replaced the tube, you must align the wheel halves with each other and with the tube stem. Don't forget to insert the inside of the sleeve. And don't worry about leveling, because that's not possible. You'll just end up shaking the wheel until the screw goes in. But first you need to hold all those nuts while you screw the four screws back in. THEN press the wheel against the scooter AND the two outer hub parts. while putting the LAST screw back in - hold both ends as well so that the screw is screwed in. Remember that you have to shake the scooter and all of its components until the screw finds its way to that inside of the hub. It helps if you have two other people who can help. So, now that you have everything together, use needle nose pliers to pry the stem out so you can attach the pump. Pump up to 60psi and cross your fingers. Oh, didn't you get a patch? Don't worry, just repeat all the previous steps! Try not to think about how you just paid $130 for a scooter or how the designer is on the beach in the Caribbean. One star only stays because my kid loves it. LAUGH OUT LOUD
