flimsy, still cute for my opinion
This hat does not hold a good shape. It does have a string to keep it on, built into the brim. The brim is a little short for good sun protection. For the money it's fine, if it blew away I would not be heart broke. It comes in a bag so I would think you can put it in a bag to travel. I think it is a little cheap. I bought another hat that I like better. I let the kids borrow it, lol. The band is just a colored part of the hat not separate from the hat.
