I needed to connect multiple security cameras. These connectors worked great and I feel like a pro. I took another reviewer's advice and split the connectors in half by unplugging them. This made them a lot easier to install as I could now see what I was doing as I plugged the cable into my head. First place the rear half on the wire, strip the cable, attach the pin, place the front half on the wire, attach the rear half and crimp. There were no instructions on how far from the cable to strip. I found that about 1/4" of center wire and another 1/4" of copper shield did the trick. A wire stripper that you twist works best, but a regular razor blade will do the job as well.
