This stocking is well worth the time and effort. It's absolutely gorgeous. I was amazed at the artistic quality and detail of the design. This was only my second CCS project, the first one was very simple and small. So I had to rip out small pieces and re-stitch a few times, but if you're patient and careful it's not that difficult. Especially if you are experienced. One piece of advice I would like to give that experienced embroiderers probably already know is that you should work with the shapes first, rather than working from side to side as usual. This allows for smaller counting errors and gives you more flexibility in filling in the background around the shapes. The exception would be Santa Claus standing very close to the edge. As I would like this stocking to be passed down from my granddaughter to her child one day, I chose to purchase a heavier gauge felt for the chain than what comes with the kit (I chose royal blue over white) and I also bought a thermal adhesive pad to support the design and protect it from objects coming in and out. Very easy to do.
