I read that another person had a similar problem to mine when trying to set this gear unit to its zero rotation. I installed Kubota on a tractor and had a similar problem as it was very difficult to screw into the block and then immediately started binding. I'm not a qualified mechanic, but I don't think it's a good idea to file a thread and then unscrew it - it's a good way to break something and then you have a real mess. I also noticed that the base of the switch was thicker than the flat hole in the block. Even if I didn't have a tightening problem when threading, I would still have a problem tightening the part flush to the base. just asking about an oil leak. This part may fit some applications but it did not fit my B7610 and I would caution anyone with a similar tractor to stay away from this aftermarket part. I'm going to Kubota on Monday even though the price is twice as much for an OEM part.
