I understand why this loom attachment is shaped the way it is (to fit more pins on the same warp), but I find it a bit more difficult to use than the original (round) double knitted topper. First, if you walk around the loom and loop the yarn around the alternating pins on the inner and outer looms, you'll notice that the length of the yarn is quite different between the pins because the odd shape places the alternating inner and outer pins differently . distance from each other. I'm working on my first hat on a loom and I'm hoping that these different spacings don't create uneven tension between stitches in different parts of the hat. I can jump off a gun so I'll get back to you with a photo of my hat and a note on the stitch consistency. Added note: My hat was fine. After doing a few rows, I developed good muscle memory for pin placement. Additional note: I'm on my third hat on this loom now and have found that the odd shape doesn't affect the tension as far as I can tell.
