Works pretty well and does what I need. I followed the instructions posted by others to get the Pi on screen and it works great. Has a strange function that I can't figure out. I have chosen not to power the screen from the Pi's USB port so that there are no power issues when the Pi is running. But when my power supply is separate, i.e. 1 power supply for the Pi and the other for the screen, nothing shows up on the screen. However, when I have 1 power supply, say a battery with 2 USB ports, and the Pi and screen are off, everything works fine. But as soon as I turn on the screen from a separate battery, nothing is displayed. I find it odd that the screen needs to be powered from the same circuit as the Pi and that it's not just HDMI. Strange but for my application they are still connected to the same power supply.
