I'm not sure how it should be but.
I have never bought this product but I think it should be in powder form. My product froze and solid pieces in the container as if it had absorbed moisture and hardened then fell into pieces. I tried anyway: I took a small piece, dissolved it in water and dropped the piece of metal into the water. I left it in the water for at least 30 minutes and you hardly noticed a difference. So I'll try again with a different metal to see if it's a metal issue. So far not very happy with the product.
