Review on COODIA Remote Controlled Dimmable LED Light for Aquarium/Fish Tank (28" – 36") – Color Changing Aquarium Hood Lighting by Dominique Hunter

It shines brightly, but you need to tweak it

I've only been using it for a week or two but so far so good. Nice and bright - for those reviewers who were disappointed that it was too dark, I'm wondering if they know the brightness is adjustable. When I turned on the light for the first time, I was disappointed too; But after playing with the remote, I found that there are two buttons that adjust the brightness (brighter and dimmer) - and my default light was at the dimmest level. So when I turned it on, no problem. There are many colors but I only like white during the day because I have an aquarium with plants and I think it needs white and blue at night (to simulate moonlight). At night I would make it even darker. The light doesn't have a timer, but I just plugged it into a cheap timed socket designed for lamps - although this way you can only choose one color (you can still change the color manually). . I occasionally use a few different colors for fun. There are also a few special effects that strike me as very similar, including blinking or color changes, which I will never use as they bother me and I think the fish will find them stressful. But if you feel like playing, you can. This type of LED lighting is so unobtrusive and unobtrusive that it's great - I'm in the process of replacing a huge ugly black fluorescent bulb and it's worth every penny just for the improved visibility.
