I've been using this for over a week now and work for hours. This product is great! I was looking for a way to avoid buying additional cable boxes, especially for my office with a wall mounted TV. I wanted the look to be very clean and not cluttered with shelves or TV stands. I connected the transmitter along with the IR emitters to my HD cable box below and pointed them at the cable box. Then I connected the receiver to my 4K 49" LG in my upstairs office. Works right away! No setup or pairing required! ADVANTAGES -1. The receiver is very small, easy to hide and mount on the wall with 2 screws .Remember that the IR emitter needs to be sufficiently exposed to see your remote's signal! This isn't a design flaw, it's just that infrared signals work as they require an unobstructed line of sight.USB input.I could use a standard mini USB cable and plug it into the USB port built into most modern TVs, this provides all the power needed to run the receiver, no need to plug in that bulky power adapter! An added bonus is that when I turn off the TV, the receiver turns itself off because the USB port on the TV no longer has power! the audio quality on my 49" LG TV is 4K @ 1080p, 4k upscaling on my TV improves the picture even more! Also tested this on my 32" native 1080p Visio Smart TV. No signal loss up or down, 1000 sq. ft. 2 Story TownHome.4. Receiver paired with USB cable can easily be moved to another room. At night I take it to my room to watch cable TV upstairs The IR emitter REALLY WORKS!Remember IR still needs line of sight to work so don't install it behind your TVCONS-1 It no additional receiver can be bought/connected.It would be nice to connect a second TV to the transmitter without moving it.2.There is no built-in HDMI splitter. The transmitter has no HDMI output to transmit signal to another device. So in my case I have a HD cable box downstairs next to the tv in the living room.I need to reconnect the tv to the cable box to be able to watch tv downstairs.I understand that this HDMI output function im teu other model is available, but for $200 I think it should have included an HDMI splitter (thru). I bought a separate HDMI splitter to get around this hurdle.
