Almost perfect pants: comfortable, fluid and light!

Okay, I know these are men's pants. I know the people on the show What Not To Wear would faint with horror if they knew I was wearing them out. But man, I have to tell you: I wear these damn things EVERYWHERE! I. I can explain! They are made of a material that resembles a mid-weight t-shirt. It's very soft, stretchy and drapes beautifully. They flow beautifully when you walk. The pants are cool for summer activities but warm enough to wear on mountain hikes without having to switch to thicker jeans or sweatpants. Sure, they're meant to be super casual pajamas, but they still look great in the office when paired with a slightly longer top or jacket. Here are the caveats: they have an open fly on one button, presumably to make it easier for men to access the toilet. You should wear them with something that covers your fly. (I usually wear longer tops, so that's not a problem.) They also have gray lining around the pockets, so what you wear as a top should ideally cover those as well. But hey – TASCHEN, ladies! bags! Who doesn't love bags? One of the best parts (besides the pockets) is the drawstring/elasticated waist. The elastic is comfortable and even the tip stretches a bit. One thing to keep in mind is that if you have too many heavy things in your pockets (lots of keys, phone, etc) your pants will tend to sag unless you tighten that suction cup. But it's so nice to be able to wear these pants in different sizes! Lost weight? Tighten it! gotten fat? Relax! The material drapes so well they look great when oversized and the drawstring is tight. IMPORTANT: I've found that if you just toss them in the washer and dryer, they'll shrink lengthwise and you'll end up with capri pants. (or simply "floods"). I wash mine in the washing machine on a cold machine, then take them out, stretch them lengthwise and hang them to dry. Once they're almost dry, I toss them in the dryer on the lowest temperature (or no temperature) with a sheet of fabric softener to fluff them up a bit. Right now I have about six pairs of these and I wear them. for gardening, yard work, camping, dance rehearsals, PokΓ©mon safaris, lunches and dinners, client meetings, and even the opera. comfortable, adjustable, smooth and with POCKETS! What more could you want from pants? If they made them without that stupid one button fly, with pockets lined the same color as the pants and preshrunk, I might never buy any other pants.
