Our 14 month old loves this chair. He likes to lie down and read a book or drink milk. It can go up and down easily. We have to flip it for him (still too young to do it alone), which is perfectly fine. The top cushion can be detached from the Velcro that keeps it in place. I'm not sure why that is, other than that you might be able to replace the pillow after a while. I want you to remove the lower seat cushion. I don't understand why you can't take this off for proper cleaning when kids are constantly snacking or drinking milk or water. It would be a good idea to remove the gasket to ensure it stays as clean as possible. Vinyl simply wipes clean with a warm, damp cloth at the end of the day. So bonus points for that. The drink holder is a nice touch though as we keep the water there for most of the day so he knows where to find it and can return it when he's not using it. I was SO tempted to get a fun color like turquoise or blue but I have to say I'm SO happy I went the color of our other furniture. It definitely doesn't hurt the eyes and I think it makes a great addition to our living room. Completely unnecessary purchase. But our son likes to use his own chair and has his own space to relax. I recommend this product.
