Works. You need to run one wire to the battery or something with a constant power supply and another wire to ground. I really wish they would just give you pads and a cable, the way it was connected from the factory made no sense to me, I almost wonder if what I got was the wrong configuration. Comes with a simple low, high and off switch. A light on the switch would be helpful, you inevitably forget to turn it off (I did) and it killed my battery. The positive thing was that it worked quite well.
