Item arrived quickly and was exactly as described. The quality is comparable to the original BMW part (not exact, but comparable). The inner seal of the old one had deteriorated, causing the heater to not work. The heater control valve has been in the car for several months. Problem-free even in winter at low temperatures. This is a fairly easy fix for someone with minimal technical skill. This takes about 30 minutes if you have never worked in this area of the engine bay. About 15-20 minutes if you are experienced in this area of the engine bay. The hardest part was removing the clamps and disconnecting the hoses (the relatives were somehow pinched). There isn't much room to insert pliers to tighten the stem clamps. I would recommend replacing the original clamps with standard clamps and getting one of the flex wrenches with interchangeable tips that are made specifically for clamps - it makes things a little easier.
