Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ High-Performance Solar Panel Cable Kit for Goal Zero Yeti, Suaoki, and Renogy Portable Solar Generators - 10AWG, 60cm/2ft Length by Savoeun Ramirez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easily reconfigurable

I used this when upgrading the solar panel on our van. When building the original system I used Anderson PowerPoles top to bottom - this allowed me to easily switch between roof mount and portable mount (with different length cables) when camping. Our new Renogy panel had MC4 wires soldered to the panel (rather than a terminal block that could be unscrewed) and I didn't want to cut those wires to switch to APP connectors so this adapter was an easy fix. I really like the Anderson PowerPole in general because the connector shell allows you to create your own custom polarized connector configuration with any number of pins and any orientation. Two minor criticisms (but not enough to deduct a star): 1) I wish there was a shorter version. . I didn't really need the 24" length, but too long was better than too short. 2) I'd like this system to come with one of Anderson's "roller pins" to secure the connectors after you've put them in I have them in my kit as I have built many APP cables over the years but for those who don't have many spares you may occasionally have trouble spreading the two connectors so would be the contact Well.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
