Review on Fujifilm X-E3 Mirrorless Digital Camera with XF18-55mm Lens Kit - Silver by Matthew Guiney

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great in a short time. Update: The new camera is excellent.

For a short time this camera was very, very good (with 23mm f/2 lens included). The images were sharp and well exposed. The ergonomics of the camera are excellent, all controls are conveniently located. JPEG off camera is excellent. This is a pocket version of the X-TPro2 as it doesn't have an optical viewfinder, but the reduction in size and lack of an optical viewfinder doesn't seem to make this camera any less flexible and user-friendly. Unfortunately, the camera had a serious fault as the lens lock pin had failed and therefore it was not possible to attach a new lens (we mounted and removed the supplied prime lens to take test shots) and it was not possible to take pictures to take pictures when the locking pins do not engage. Camera returned and new one ordered Note added on October 31st: New camera delivered and works great. We have now used it on a trip to Oregon and are very happy with the results. Lens performance is excellent and when using the 23mm lens or our other Fujinon lenses (18-55mm, 18-135mm, 35mm, 50-140mm) the results were excellent. The results are very similar to our X-T2 and X-Tpro2. Highly recommended.
