Noise cancellation does little here. While it took me a few minutes to find tips for the right fit, I didn't test any features until I had a good fit. Noise is generally reduced, but not significantly. They stay down. in business so far, but not in a way that inspires confidence. I was always reluctant to make sure they didn't slip out of the small alleys in the well-built but large suitcase. The sound is very focused in the mids, but the mids and highs have pretty good detail. The bass is there, but it doesn't have much depth, and the image is very one-dimensional in spite of the fine tuning of details in all frequencies. In my opinion this product is a rare fail for House of Marley. I've heard of several products they have on the market and this is the only one that has left me.
