Review on ๐Ÿšฆ HUIQIAODS 12V GS-100C Flash Strobe Controller for LED Brake Light Tail Stop Light - Auto Car Flasher Module by Hank Mistretta

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best price I could find and works like a charm. but there is a trick

I replaced all the outside bulbs on my Toyota 4Runner Gen 1 ('87) with LEDs and was suffering from terrible flickering. In fact, with LEDs in all 4 turn signals, I didn't blink at all. Just a buzz from the standard flasher relay. So I put the bulbs back in the front turn signals and lived with the super-fast flashing flash for a while. When I finally got around to replacing the factory relay with this one, everything worked great; Now I have bright lights blinking at normal speed. However. There is a small problem with using this device in a Toyota of this year. The factory relay and the new one have a different shape. But they have the same 3 terminals. L, B (+) and E (-), which simplifies correction. Make 3 short (2 inch or so) pieces of wire with spade terminals on each end. Align the terminals of the new relay with the terminals of the old one, connect the connector ends to the car connector and the new relay to the sockets. and you're done. The hardest part for me was pulling out the old relay. I searched and searched for a new LED compatible relay that would fit the factory plug but couldn't find it. But it was easy enough and very cheap . If you want more details, there's a pretty good YouTube video showing the whole process. Search for "87 Toyota Blinker Mod".

Cons
  • Poorly thought out
