Buying speakers you haven't heard is risky so I had to do my due diligence, trust my gut and more importantly trust Def Tech. I bought these to replace my SM55 bookshelves by installing them on a Marantz 6014 on a 7.1.2 Atmos system. I paired this BP9020 with a CLR2002 hub and they made a fantastic trio. The sound is first class, clear and precise. The bass can be adjusted from minimal to almost excessive (I'm a big bass fan, I'll admit I overdo it) without sacrificing sound quality. Overall I love these speakers and have no complaints. They're quite expensive and it's possible to find the same quality for a little less, but in my opinion some aesthetics are probably lost in the process. You can also add A90 Atmos speakers; they work for $500. While it's convenient, I most likely won't go down that route because of the price.
