I studied graphic design and am an artist with a passion for illustration, handwriting and calligraphy. I decided to try the new brush pens and settled on these two options: Tombow Fudenosuke and Pentel Sign Pen. At first I liked the drawing pen for its smoothness and slightly thicker line. Both offer the blackest color and excellent liquid delivery. But one day I spilled some water and my Pentel scribbles spread all over the page while my Tombow scribbles stayed perfectly color stable. It made my decision easy. I've attached an image showing the difference between a Softa and a Pentel, then in the next image I've painted over each with a wet brush. You can see Tombow looks untouched while Pentel is smeared and dark. dig to the end. I want my end product to be color stable and of premium quality for my customers. I love both hard and soft and usually use both in the same design. I can't say I prefer one over the other as I use each for different linetypes and annotations. The hard type offers more control, so it's a good idea for beginners to start with it until you're comfortable. Excellent goods! I will buy again!
