Lining ineffective. There are two straps on each shoulder pad: one connects to the pocket and the other connects to the center loop. The two straps are connected by a cord that runs along one edge of the lining. Thus, the weight of the bag is concentrated on the drawstring, which digs quite a bit into the shoulder, and the soft part of the lining carries little weight. Other than that the product is pretty well made - you can get around the court with it but after a few holes I move the pads past my shoulders to get some relief. I didn't have this problem with any other double band. After two seasons I bought another replacement that has the straps connected to the center of each pad; the improvement is dramatic and immediate. Edit: I noticed that the photos on the product page show at least two different products. I have attached a photo of the product in question in this review.
